Our specialist course materials

Every page in our GCSE term books is also an interactive homework, which teachers assign in a managed workflow on our portal.

Vamos GCSE courses are structured around a framework of books specially created by our Academic Department.

They align to AQA and Edexcel exam boards and follow the 5 curriculum themes term by term.

Feedback for parents

We understand parents want to see how their child is progressing, so each week we send an email with feedback based on effort from the previous day’s classwork and the previous week’s homework.

Your Teacher

¡Hola! My name is David from Zaragoza, a mid-sized city in North East Spain.

I am a Philosophy graduate from the University of Zaragoza, and I have a SIELE Teacher Course Certificate from Instituto Cervantes.

I spent some years of my apprenticeship in Oxford and Budapest and became a teacher of Spanish as a second language three years ago, first in my hometown and now in London.

In addition to Spanish language and culture, I am passionate about music, cinema, football and literature and I love to connect with my students and make our classes even more in engaging.

See you in class! ¡Nos vemos en clase!

About Us

We’re a little different from other language schools. Our roots lie in the Spanish further education sector and our students have as much fun learning as we have teaching. That’s why our courses are so effective and why our students say our lessons are rewarding and so much fun.

At the end of this Year 11 course

I can describe Hispanic foods from around the world. I can compare different festivals and celebrations. I can write about eating habits, special meals and favorite festivals. I can talk about meal times and order from a menu. I can discuss job preferences and how to earn money. I can talk about my work experience and the importance of learning. I can write a formal letter and recount work experience in the past and express future plans. When I talk about work experience I use the ‘pretérito’ and the imperfect together. I can use the present and present continuous, use ‘saber’ and ‘conocer’. When I discuss my plans for the future I use the subjunctive with ‘cuando’ and the conditional. I can effectively use my grammar knowledge in translations. I can recognize and use idioms.
