Conversational Spanish – Intermediate
This is a 20-hour course over 10-weeks created for students with around 120h of Spanish studies who just wish to focus on developing their speaking skills.
The course is based around the Agencia Ele comic strip news agency and a group of reporters and the many different situations they deal with. In this course we’ll be working with specially prepared scripts created from the scenes and situations involving:
· Shopping for food (groceries, weights and measures, packaging)
· Socialising (planning a meeting, going to an event, discussing ideas)
· Lifestyles (personal activities, sports and hobbies, family and friends)
· Recreation (exchanging opinions in relation to cinema, exhibitions, concerts)
Plus many other enjoyable topics where students will learn new vocabulary and communicative strategies achieved by role-play, discussion and games.
The course has been fantastic! I have been learning Spanish with Vamos since last year and I am amazed at how much I have learnt. This is mainly due to the excellent quality of the teaching. Sonia is an inspiring and highly skilled teacher who makes the lessons fun and engaging. She also provides a very structured framework of grammar and language skills which we build on each session. She shares her knowledge of Spanish culture and makes lessons really enjoyable and great fun. I am really inspired to keep learning.
It feels like a safe space to learn and ask questions. The activity book is very helpful and Sonia is friendly and knowledgeable.
