Level 7-9 Conversational Spanish: 10 week Course, begins Thursday 22 March to 31 May

Conversational Spanish – Intermediate

This is a 20-hour course over 10-weeks aimed at students with around 120h of Spanish studies who enjoy sharing opinions and wish to focus especially on developing their speaking skills.

The course covers many practical situations relevant to work, travel and socializing, however on this course the classroom dynamics are frequently energetic and the interaction between teacher and students is lively and enjoyable.

Each lesson includes a debate on subjects such as:

• Getting to know each other – exchanging general information e.g. work, family, hobbies
• Descriptions – how you are/how you were
• Changes in fashion, music and other trends
• Interests and hobbies –  e.g. cinema, museums, sports
• Famous careers – past and present
• Political issues – past and present
• Important personal achievements – discussing past, current and future events such as graduating, living abroad, marriage,  changing jobs and retirement
• Everyday discussions about holidays, shopping and eating out – e.g. comparing places and prices and choosing a menu
• Travel – organizing daily schedules, places, timetables, activities
• Professions – e.g. job  roles and responsibilities
