Your course requires an Ele Actual B1 libro del alumno workbook and a Vamos Activity book. The ELE book covers 4 courses (levels 7 to 10) and we have a separate Activity book for each level.
The Ele textbook book is a gift, however there is an additional cost of £10.95 for the Activity book , both of which are supplied at the school.
Your Activity book is emailed as a PDF on the day your course starts and the B1 ELE libro del alumno workbook book can be purchased from Amazon or any leading book supplier after your first lesson. ¡Hola!, ¿Qué tal? I am Paula and I’m from Riohacha, a small yet warm and exotic city in La Guajira, Colombia!
I have always loved travelling and learning about languages and cultures from around the world, so I decided the best way to do that was by becoming a language teacher.
I have a BA in Teaching English and French in my country, but I also wanted the opportunity to teach my own language and culture. So, while living in Spain, I also gained an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Cantabria.
I have nearly 8 years’ experience teaching students of all ages in different sectors and countries including China, Canada, South Korea and of course Colombia and the UK.
I am excited to join Vamos and I hope you will enjoy my lessons, which I know will be lively and dynamic.

This course is part four of the Intermediate B1 syllabus.
It’s a 20-hour course during which you follow an established model of teaching through spoken and written activities, extra reading, tests, reviews, ideas, and games in pairs or groups.
We use powerful learning tools such as presentations, images, videos and audio tapes that stimulate our lessons and encourage students to engage with each other in developing the four essential skills – reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The course has been fantastic! I have been learning Spanish with Vamos since last year and I am amazed at how much I have learnt. This is mainly due to the excellent quality of the teaching. Sonia is an inspiring and highly skilled teacher who makes the lessons fun and engaging. She also provides a very structured framework of grammar and language skills which we build on each session. She shares her knowledge of Spanish culture and makes lessons really enjoyable and great fun. I am really inspired to keep learning.
It feels like a safe space to learn and ask questions. The activity book is very helpful and Sonia is friendly and knowledgeable.
